This is the café on the second floor of the Museum of Czech Cubism. The food wasn't incredible and it wasn't to bad. The style and architecture of this eatery is what really intrigued me! This café had cubist examples everywhere, even the font they used as seen in the picture above is in the cubist style.
Look at all of the intricate angles and the multitude of odd shapes in this chandelier alone. All of the aspects of this restaurant emitted a sense of weight which led to the café seeming heavy and very sure of itself.
Above the bar you can see that the liquor storage is a series of cubes.
Here is a close up of the wallpaper around the top half of the restaurant. It is amazing to me how a series of angles and some slight color differences can give something like wallpaper incredible texture and depth.
Even the wrought iron railing along the outside balcony is full of cubist shapes and style.
One feature that blew me away was this beautiful bar. The dark wood gave it a sturdy, classy feel. To get the full effect you would need to walk in front of it, but the angles and indents on the front of the bar give it an amazing presence. It's stance easily conveys that it is a center focal point in the café.
